Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 7, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to JSON CSV Tools ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how our website operates. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use jsoncsvtools.com (the "Service").
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
This is the most important section of our policy: we do not collect, store, transmit, or process any of the data you enter into our tools. Here's why and how:
- All processing is client-side. Every conversion tool on our website runs entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. When you paste JSON and click "Convert to CSV," the conversion happens on your device — not on our servers.
- No data is uploaded. At no point is your input data sent to any server we control or any third-party service for processing. You can verify this yourself: open your browser's Developer Tools (F12), go to the Network tab, paste some JSON, and click Convert. You will see zero network requests containing your data.
- No server-side logging. Our web server may log standard technical information (IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamp) as part of normal web server operation, but your tool input and output data are never included because they are never transmitted.
- No accounts, no personal data. We do not offer user accounts, so we do not collect names, email addresses, passwords, or any personally identifiable information.
- No local storage or cookies (by us). We do not use cookies, localStorage, or any browser storage mechanism to save your data or track your usage.
3. Third-Party Services
3.1 Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our website. Google AdSense is an advertising service provided by Google LLC ("Google"). Google uses cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website and other websites on the internet.
- How Google uses cookies in advertising: Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
- Google's data use policy: For more information on how Google collects and uses data when you visit our website, please see Google's Privacy & Terms: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
- Third-party ad vendors: Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
3.2 Cookie Consent
To comply with GDPR (EU/EEA), CCPA (California), and other privacy regulations, we use a Consent Management Platform (CMP) to obtain your consent before non-essential cookies (such as advertising cookies) are set. We recommend CookieYes (free plan) for managing cookie consent banners and preferences.
Note: The CookieYes consent banner script will be added once the CookieYes account is created and configured. Until then, Google AdSense ads may not be displayed in regions that require prior consent (EU/EEA, UK, California, and other jurisdictions with privacy laws).
4. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. Here is how cookies are used on our website:
- Essential cookies: None. Our website functions without any first-party cookies.
- Advertising cookies (third-party): Google AdSense may set cookies to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, measure ad performance, and limit the number of times you see an ad. These cookies are subject to your consent through our CMP.
- CookieYes CMP cookies: Once implemented, CookieYes will set a cookie to remember your consent preferences so you don't see the banner on every visit.
5. Your Rights Under GDPR (EU/EEA Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Right of access: You have the right to request a copy of any personal data we hold about you. Note: since we do not collect personal data, such a request would return nothing.
- Right to rectification: You have the right to correct any inaccurate personal data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"): You have the right to request deletion of your personal data.
- Right to restrict processing: You have the right to request that we restrict processing of your personal data.
- Right to data portability: You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Right to object: You have the right to object to processing of your personal data.
- Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. You can manage your cookie preferences through our CMP banner.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 8. Since we do not collect personal data, most of these rights are automatically satisfied — there is nothing to access, rectify, or delete.
6. Your Rights Under CCPA (California Users)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to know: You have the right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold. We do not collect, use, share, or sell your personal information beyond what Google AdSense may collect for advertising purposes (see Section 3).
- Right to delete: You have the right to request deletion of personal information collected from you.
- Right to opt-out of sale: We do not sell personal information. Google AdSense may share data for advertising purposes; you can opt out of personalized ads through Google Ads Settings.
- Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.
7. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us. Since we do not collect or store any data, this risk is inherently minimized.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our website, or applicable laws. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
10. Consent
By using our website, you consent to this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
